New Lymphoedema Petition in Downing Street

May 29th, 2009 by Peta | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Our Last petition raised over 1000 signatures for lymphoedema. There is a new Petition available for sighning now so log on to
Sign up and don’t forget to confirm afterwards. The system seems to email you after you have signed and requests you follow the link to confirm your signature. Strange I know but I think quite a few people who signed our last petition did not do this so the signature did not appear on the list.

I have also just opened a page on Justgivingto start the ball rolling for donations to MLDuk Lymfund
If you or anyone you know has lymphoedema and want to help us with raising awareness, now is the time. Please try to help us if you can

The long and tall of it

September 13th, 2008 by Peta | 14 Comments | Filed in All about Shoes

Hi everyone!  I am Peta and this is my first attempt at my very own blog. I sat musing about what to write  and what title to use. I have done a bit of blogging but never quite like this so, I scoured the internet for ideas on how to get going. The bits I managed to pick were quite clear on the procedure “be clear about the purpose, keep it short, share articles and advice, check your spelling  and last but by no mean least “what’s in for them!!! So here goes….

The purpose- I thought we could start with all your own shopping experiences with large size feet as this is very much a pet subject of mine. I would like to hear about your shopping adventures as a tall girl.  To start the ball rolling I thought we could have a competition for the best story.

I want you to share your shoe purchasing experiences with us all and the best will have £50.00 to spend on the site. Leave your story as a “comment”on this post and don’t  forget your email address please.

Keeping it short may be quite difficult for me as I usually have a lot to say!!! As I am as passionate as ever trying to find the large size shoes for us all.

I was delighted to see that Caryn Franklyn had recommended  my opaque tights in her monthly news letter. Sign up for her monthly newsletter, there is great advice on all the new trends and how to dress our different shapes and sizes. Her Ebooks are available through the link on my site, www.thetalllady.co.uk

Do join us with your ideas and comments please, I am really looking forward to hearing from you all and meanwhile enjoy shopping for your new season’s boots with The Tall Lady
